Vehicle Wraps - Know your Options.

Not all wraps are created equal. Budgets, design and time constraints, differing target markets and messages all contribute to finding the right solution to match your marketing objectives.

One thing that vehicle graphics have in common is that they consistently provide some of the highest returns-on-investment when compared to other visual marketing options.

  • An individual vehicle wrap/advertising can generate "between 30,000-70,000 daily vehicular impressions,” according to ARD Ventures.

  • “Mobile advertising generates 2.5 times more attention than a static billboard,” says Perception Research.

  • “Messages on outdoor mobile billboards have a 97% recall rate,” RYP & Becker Group indicates.

COVERAGE OPTIONS:

When it comes to the amount of vinyl used and how much of the vehicle is covered, the spectrum ranges from full wraps to partial wraps and at the very least, cut decals.

Full Wraps

Full coverage wraps transform your entire vehicle (except for plastic bits like bumpers and door handles), hiding any evidence of the original colour. They require the most amount of materials, a more involved design and more lengthy installation with a 3M or Avery certified installer.

While the higher price tag reflects the additional labour and raw materials used on full wraps, they also make the biggest impression and turn the most heads. And they tend to deliver the highest ROI when used on vehicles that spend a lot of time being seen on the road. Think food trucks, delivery vehicles and businesses that make home-visits like contractors.

Partial Wraps

Partial wraps are a great cost-cutting option that can still deliver high impact graphics at a lower price point. Coverages can range from 20% to 90% of the vehicle. These look particularly good if the base colour of a vehicle is blended into the graphic design, hiding the fact that the vehicle is only partially wrapped. Saving time on installation and raw materials can help you stay within budget if your marketing dollars are limited. We use the same 3M and Avery certified installers for a precision installation on all of our partial and full wraps.

Cut Decals

For a more minimalist look, you can opt for cut decals. These tend to be budget conscious but not always. That depends on the size and intricacies of the shapes that are cut by our plotter blade. Cut decals allow the original colour of your vehicle to serve as a background. They can look chic and are most commonly used to add contact information and basic branding like a logo to vehicle side or rear doors. Aside from minimal graphic size restraints (line weights must be at least 3 mm thick ), the sky is the limit!

Vinyl Options: Printed vs. Pre-Coloured Vinyls

We mostly use 3M and Avery brand vinyls, the two leading brands in the industry. Our wrap installers are also 3M and Avery certified, to ensure that your product warranties remain in tact.

After you've decided your desired coverage amount (full wrap, partial wrap or cut decals) you'll need to decide between printed vinyls vs. pre-coloured vinyls or you could opt for a mixture of both.

Confused yet? Don't worry, we'll hold your hand every step of the way.

Printed vinyls are great for producing unique graphic reproductions of logos that contain many colours, fades, and/or graphics that contain blended images and photographs.
